International Day of Peace

The world celebrates the International Day of Peace on September 21, calling for the cessation of conflict and reinforcing harmony. The United Nations has established this day, emphasizing cooperation and mutual understanding among nations. Each year, the day is devoted to a selected theme related to peacebuilding and sustainable development, aiming to inspire action toward achieving a peaceful, inclusive world where individuals and communities can work together.

Making peace is more than just stopping wars; it means addressing inequality, fighting for human rights, and fostering a culture of respect and dialogue.

On this day, people around the world are encouraged to reflect on their role in promoting peace and to engage in activities that contribute to a more harmonious society.
